Whole Black Summer Truffle

The abundance of black truffles during the summer season results in lower price points in comparison to the winter varieties. The pungent flavor of the black truffle is more subdued, but the summer variety has a mouthwatering sweetness that some have described as ""chocolaty"". These truffles, which are in their whole, natural form and brushed (free from any soil) are packed in brine.
Recommended uses: Widely known and appreciated in various gastronomical recipes. Thanks to its mild and delicate taste it can be used in many different ways. Take them right out of the package and puree, mince or slice them over pastas, omelets and risottos.
