Thistle

The flavor of the thistle has some similarity with the cucumber. After cleaning the thistle perfectly it is placed in a pot and cooked with water, oil and salt. They are packed within few hours of collection, to preserve their nutritional properties and vitamins. No preservatives are used in its preparation.

The Thistles are characterized as soft and delicate taste but with small bitter notes. The high proportion of water, proteins and fibers makes them an ideal meal as a regulator of gastrointestinal functions. Thistles can be accompanied by a sauce of garlic, flour and ham, which add flavor to this delicious dish. Although harvest occurs in winter, thanks to Conservas Jesus Ma they can be enjoyed all year long.
