Biolea organic olive oil is a PDO certified, stone ground extra virgin organic olive oil produced using arid agriculture. This is an extraordinarily flavorful oil, recommended by Wine Magazine as one of its Top Five Must Have Specialty Foods of 2007. Biolea produces this oil using the justly famous Koroneiki olive, a variety well suited to high altitude, arid cultivation. Although farming without fertilizer, pesticides, and irrigation yields substantially less fruit compared to commercial farms, arid, organic production creates entirely natural olives with concentrated flavor of unsurpassed quality. To pass this quality from the olive to the oil, Biolea uses traditional methods to stone grind and cold press its oil. Each bottle is certified few organic olive oils can make this claim.
