New to America, from the finest of producers, this Traditional "Affinato" Balsamic Vinegar is made using the cooked must of Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes from the Emilia Romagna Region of Italy, then aged in a series of wood casks for at least 12 years. It is then graded by the Consortium of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. After receiving the required taste and quality scores, this balsamic receives one of the most prestigious labels in the world: D.O.P. Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Affinato. Similar in flavor to the Extra Vecchio, the Affinato is naturally rich and syrupy with the flavor of pure grape must and dried plums from its aging process and is a delight to the palate.
Use to jewel Parmesan or pecorino, serve over ice cream, or on meats and vegetables.
Storage and Handling: Keep at room temperature, sealed, away from sunlight. Balsamic vinegars only get better over time!
