A perfect way to ring in the Persian New Year!


  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Confectioners Sugar
  • 3 cups Almonds, finely ground
  • 3 tablespoons Rosewater
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Flower Water
  • 2 tablespoons Pistachio Nuts, slivered
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom


  • Mix ground almonds, cardamom and confectioners sugar in a large bowl. Slowly blend in rosewater and orange flower water, stirring constantly, to make a dough.
  • Take small spoonfuls of dough, and shape into small mulberries. Roll each in granulated sugar, and attach a sliver of pistachio nut as a stem, as shown in picture.
  • Store in an airtight container.
